Where: East UIUC Campus, specific meeting location once we know parade assignmen

Description: 

Instead of our usual Denny's meetup, we will be marching in the CU Pride Parade. This will step off from the east part of UIUC campus in Urbanaa and travel through Urbana toward downtown and the Pride Fair. Always a good way to get out and show ourselves as part of the community and show the  welcoming side of the area and ourselves. In previous years, we have marched with the group banner, some have rode motorcycles, some have marched with fetish/identity positive flags, we have thrown candy, some have walked in full drag, some have walked with hoods and leashes and we hope for all of the same this year.

For this event:

-- Please RSVP so we know how many flags, supplies, candy to bring

-- Please let any leader know if you need a ride.

-- Bring anyone who might want to march with us and show support.

-- If you are unable or not wanting to march, please cheer us on from the parade route.

-- In years past, we have met up at China Garden afterward for late lunch and plan to do the same this year.October Private Event - Bonfire and Outdoor BBQ

When: Sunday October 27 from 2pm to 5pm

Where: TBA

Early Fall brings cooler weather and one last chance to be outdoors before the time changes. Time to get together and reconnect a little and hopefully catch up with people we have not seen in a while.

We will supply the mains, you bring the sides. Mains are planned to be burgers, brats and hot dogs. We will also have some local apple cider as well. Any and all sides are welcome and if you want any alcohol on a fall evening, feel free to bring some along.

Location will be outdoors so if you have an outdoor chair, feel free to bring it (some will be there) along with weather to sit aside the fire for the afternoon.

As always:

-- Please let any leader know if you need a ride. Location will be sent to all vetted RSVP's 2-3 days before.

-- Participation in group discussion/demo is always optional.

-- While we request sides from the group, please note bringing food is not required as we always have plenty of food for all who attend.

-- If you have a new person who might be interested in attending, please reach out to a leader to have the person vetted prior to the meeting.
